Dr. Seymour Papert꞉ Thoughts on Canada’s National Network of Innovative Schools

Seymour Papert (circa 2000)
In a nutshell, I don’t know of any other. Project that does anywhere near as well in bringing together a community of innovators in the use of technology in schools and why that should be. Maybe it’s just great design. I think the fact that it has this national, federal support is an important part of that, that it contributes a kind of sense of doing something big.

Mobilizes a certain kind of, of national patriotism that I think is important. They feel they’re representing their country as well as their children. I don’t really know how to put my finger on it, but there is a sense of community and a sense of excitement and a sense of that things they’re doing really are genuinely good.
